The Health Office is staffed by licensed school nurses Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. There are two full time school nurses that include: Flo Kelley, RN, BSN and Holly Cooke, RN, MSN. The nurses provide services to LUMS, LUHS, and GMTCC students and staff.

We utilize and follow guidelines that are endorsed by the Vermont State Medical Society, School Health Committee, the Vermont Department of Education, and the Vermont Department of Health. These recommended guidelines are outlined in the Standards of Practice; School Health Services and can be viewed at the Vermont Department of Health website: In addition, the National Association of School Nurses published a revised edition of Position Statements, Issue Briefs, and Resolution and Consensus Statements in February of 2012.

Health Information Forms and Prescription Medication forms are required to be updated every year. Health records are treated like any other student record under federal and state laws. In Vermont, academic records including health records are held at least five years after a student leaves the school.
